Thank you. I agree with the spirit of what is said, with just one comment. “When the reason is nullified, the enactment is not nullified” is a legal principle, and therefore reasoning one way or the other is not enough to cancel it. If according to Jewish law a religious court is required to repeal an enactment of an authorized religious court, then that is what applies. But here there is no need for that, since this is not an enactment but a custom, and the earlier custom was different, so it is certainly possible to return to it. The question of whether a person may decide on his own to do so, or whether some kind of consensus is required, at least of some community, is a different question.
