Halakhic Rulings Based on Kabbalah

Question

Hello Rabbi,
I listened, somewhat belatedly, to lesson no. 5 in the Mysticism series, and there was a very nice explanation there for why, in issuing halakhic rulings, we follow the revealed dimension and not the hidden one.
You also explained that for a kabbalist himself this is not a problem, because for him it is clear and not esoteric in the way it is for someone who is expected to listen to him, and therefore he himself would follow Kabbalah.
My question is: according to your approach, what is a decent kabbalist supposed to answer a person who asks him a question of Jewish law? Seemingly, he should not tell him to listen to him, but rather to follow the revealed sources, because he knows that for that person this is mysticism.
So basically, what you explained applies only to how a kabbalist should conduct himself personally. But when it comes to issuing rulings for others, if he rules for them the way he rules for himself, he is in fact acting improperly.

Answer

In principle, correct. I’m not sure the kabbalists see it that way, and in general my explanation is my own. I don’t know to what extent others agree with it or are aware of it.
