Books of the Later Authorities
Question
Dear Rabbi!
I am a student in an advanced yeshiva, and I am torn between various books by later authorities—which ones are more worth investing time in:
Shev Shema'tata, Sha'arei Yosher, Middot Le-Cheker HaHalakha, Marcheshet, Chiddushei Rabbi Chaim HaLevi, Levush Mordechai, Avi Ezri (and other books).
Which do you think it is better to focus on?
Thank you, and have a good week.
Answer
I don't have a general answer. Each person according to his own inclinations. As general background, Shev Shema'tata, Sha'arei Yosher, and Chiddushei Rabbi Chaim are more central.
