National Religions
Question
Rabbi Michi, hello!
Why is there any need for religions, nationalism, tradition, and all kinds of frameworks that turn a group of people into a nation? What is wrong with a universal outlook, with personal autonomy for human beings?
For example, in Europe religion is a secondary component and national identity is a central one. Why can’t we go one step further, abolish nationalism, and reduce wars in the world?
Answer
There is no need at all. I wish you success.
