A Nice Metaphor
Question
I thought of a really interesting metaphor to explain/illustrate well the difference between analytical thinking and synthetic thinking:
It’s like the difference between the game Sudoku and a crossword puzzle. The first is analytical: there is one solution that is contained within it itself, and you don’t need any other information. The second, by contrast, is synthetic: you bring your own words; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t; you try this word and that word, and so on.
Answer
Okay. Nice.
