Question

Hello, Rabbi.
I read Martin Buber’s book I and Thou. I didn’t really understand what the innovation in the book is, and the content seemed like wordplay around an already familiar idea. Did I understand correctly? (After all, Buber was nominated for the Nobel Prize because of writing the book.)
