Q&A: Hello dear Rabbi Michael,
Hello dear Rabbi Michael,
Question
I want to delve more deeply into the topic of the “theory of ideas.”
Which books does the Rabbi know that deal with it in a deep and serious way?
Thank you very much for your blessed work.
Answer
Plato’s? I have no idea. I don’t deal with Greek philosophy. I assume you can find references and sources online.
Discussion on Answer
He talks about his own theory of ideas, and as is well known, he isn’t committed to anything anyone else wrote.
But he likes Husserl, so maybe something from his writings.
Shai, maybe you’ll like “Bluebeard” by the French writer (the handsome one) Charles Perrault.

Why?
I liked it, but why did he get confused and dye his beard blue instead of his tzitzit, so he would remember not to murder?
The intention was this:

Guys, a little humor…
I noticed that the Rabbi had trimmed his beard and I liked it (he reminds me of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik), so I went with my awful sense of humor.
Or Descartes’ ideas; I’ve seen that the Rabbi talks about that from time to time.
