Hello, honorable Rabbi,
Happy Sabbaths.
1) In the Rabbi’s opinion, does a person have free choice? After all, if there is a reason for a decision then it is a natural necessity, and if there is no reason then it is randomness. I hope the Rabbi can easily resolve my question.
2) A philosopher named David Hume challenged the assumptions of causality and induction. Does the Rabbi have an answer to his difficulties? I hope the Rabbi can easily resolve my question.
3) In the Rabbi’s opinion, is there a Creator of the world? I thought of several proofs, and also some creative names for the proofs, and the names are cosmological, ontological, physico-theological, and I also thought of a theological proof from morality, and also of a distinction between a proof from within the laws and a proof from outside the laws. What does the Rabbi say about my ideas?
4) In the Talmud there are various hermeneutical principles, and one needs to understand these principles, especially a fortiori reasoning and paradigm construction. Can the Rabbi write a few words on the subject? I hope the Rabbi can easily resolve my question.
