Providence
Question
Hello
The Rabbi writes a lot about the matter of the lack of active providence by God. I studied what the Rabbi wrote about this at length in the book, and since I’m not very polished philosophically [yet—days will come…], and I can’t really argue with the Rabbi, I assume the Rabbi presented his doctrine to people who do understand philosophy and they did not agree with the Rabbi. What reason did they give the Rabbi for disagreeing with him? Is there some essential reason?
Thank you
Answer
You’d have to ask them. You can find examples in the columns where I debated Moshe Rat and others on this topic.
