Question

Hello Rabbi,
Following the discussions surrounding Rabbi Inbal and Rabbi David Cohen, a discussion came up in a WhatsApp group about the need for inquiry as opposed to conservatism. Does a lack of inquiry indicate a flaw, or an unmediated intuition, and so on? Is there an advantage to a person who examines and investigates, and so on?
This is a fundamental topic, and I looked to see whether you had written a column about it, but I didn’t find anything directly on point. I would be very happy if the Rabbi would devote some of his busy time and write some kind of post on the subject.
