Is Being There?
Question
Do you think it is more correct to say that nothingness is nonexistent or existent?
Answer
I don't understand the question. Being itself is not "existent" either, because "being" is a general name for the things that exist. It is a category, not an entity. The thing that belongs to being is what exists. Therefore nothingness, too, cannot be existent (nor can it be nonexistent, because it is not an entity). And that which does not exist is, of course, nonexistent by definition.
