Reciting "For the Sake of the Unification"
Question
Honorable Rabbi, may he live long and well,
Does the Rabbi hold that one should recite the declaration "For the sake of the unification" etc.? And what is his opinion of the words of the author of the Noda B'Yehuda, of blessed memory, on this matter?
With blessings,
Ponevezher
Answer
I don’t think it should be recited, but there is certainly no prohibition, and it may even help focus one’s intention.
Discussion on Answer
I’m not concerned about that. That’s just a hysterical interpretation.
And what about the concern that the words "for the sake of the unification of the Holy One, blessed be He, and His Presence" are a kind of idolatry, since one could say that they point to division and unity within the Godhead, or alternatively indicate a partnership of two authorities?
