I noticed that the Rabbi wears tekhelet tzitzit.
I would be glad to know the halakhic background, or at least the main points. I do not understand the issue at all; I only see that most people and their leaders do not wear tekhelet and do not address the matter at all.
I would be glad if, as a conclusion, the Rabbi would say whether he gives a recommendation or a sweeping halakhic ruling on the matter, or not.

I looked into this a long time ago. As far as I am concerned, this is at least a Torah-level doubt, and perhaps even more than that (there is a good chance that it really is tekhelet). The public is mostly conservative, and in my opinion most of those who do not use tekhelet do so without any real justification.
When I looked into the topic, they referred me to a Bnei Brak rabbi who had examined it with all the great Haredi halakhic decisors. I called him, and he told me that these were inventions of the Religious Zionist crowd. I could not get any substantive argument out of him.
