Question

Hello Rabbi, 
I want to put a tekhelet thread in my tzitzit out of doubt. I saw in Yalkut Yosef by Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef that it is not advisable, because the leading rabbis of the last generation did not wear tekhelet. You presumably disagree, since you looked into the issue. I have not looked into it, and I wonder whether he is right, or whether I should wear tekhelet because of a Torah-level doubt.
