Question
Hello and blessings,
A small song of praise in honor of the Rabbi, may he live long, for the good he has bestowed upon me. 🫡🫡🫡
What does the Rabbi think—does this sum up the Rabbi’s thought?
I have given you Michael, prince of understanding \ to guide you in the way of Torah \ chapters of faith and belief are spread before him like a map \ and he does not imagine complete faith \ but is content with simple intuition \ with the understanding that reality is not subject to the Torah \ with providence from above that is not to be taken literally \ with giving reason and understanding to the perfect Torah \ and he is not content with Torah in the person \ for to him every book is an object of Torah \ he desires to bequeath a broad framework \ in which authority will be a dirty word \ so that each person will innovate in Torah \ and therefore you cannot come with the claim \ that prophecy has been taken away and there is nothing left \ for the truth is that I desired understanding \ that you should use it in Torah study \ and now your task is to listen to its voice
Answer
Thank you, but it seems to me that this is not a time for song right now (“My handiwork is drowning in the sea…” ).
Just one small correction: I most definitely do want Torah in the person, which includes all the wisdoms of the world. And not every book is an object of Torah, but perhaps Torah in the person. It seems to me that you reversed the concepts.
May we all hear good news.
A distinction should be made: the song is not about the drowning in the sea, but about something else. Correction of the mistake.
