Laws of a Mistake in a Makeup Prayer
Question
Hello,
I forgot that today (Sunday) is Rosh Chodesh and did not say “Ya’aleh VeYavo” in Minchah. I recited the Evening Prayer twice, once for Ma’ariv and once as a makeup for Minchah. I remember with certainty that I said Ya’aleh VeYavo in the first prayer, but I am unsure whether I said Ya’aleh VeYavo in the second prayer.
What is the ruling? Do I need to pray the Evening Prayer again with Ya’aleh VeYavo as a makeup for Minchah, or have I fulfilled my obligation since one does not repeat for failing to say Ya’aleh VeYavo at night?
Thank you
Answer
Regardless of the issue of night prayer, in a case of doubt one does not repeat it.
Thank you very much for the reply
