Causality and Regression
Question
Good evening!
Is saying that the world has always existed without any essential change (only a cosmetic one), or saying that there are infinitely many prior worlds/causes that created reality, the same argument (which fails because of infinite regress), or are these two different arguments: both that there are infinitely many causes going backward, and that no cause is needed at all?
Thank you very much!
Answer
I don’t see a difference between the claims. How do you define whether such a chain is one eternal world or a chain of separate worlds?
