Q&A: God and the Laws of Logic
God and the Laws of Logic
Question
In one place you wrote that, in your view, God is subject to the laws of logic as we know them. In the example you gave, He cannot create a shell that penetrates every wall, and a wall that is resistant to every shell. Why is that, exactly? Why can’t God do that? It may contradict our logic, but didn’t God create logic?
Answer
I’ve explained this in several places. See, for example, my article here: https://mikyab.net/%d7%9b%d7%aa%d7%91%d7%99%d7%9d/%d7%9e%d7%90%d7%9e%d7%a8%d7%99%d7%9d/%d7%a2%d7%9c-%d7%aa%d7%95%d7%a8%d7%aa-%d7%94%d7%a7%d7%95%d7%95%d7%a0%d7%98%d7%99%d7%9d-%d7%95%d7%98%d7%a2%d7%a0%d7%95%d7%aa-%d7%90%d7%9e%d7%95%d7%a0%d7%95%d7%aa-%d7%a1%d7%aa%d7%99%d7%a8%d7%aa%d7%99
