In Jewish law, a man’s voice is not considered sexually provocative. I assume this is because a man’s singing does not arouse sexual associations in women, whereas the reverse is considered true. In practice, however, even the reverse is often not true, and therefore there is no reason to forbid women from singing so long as the singing is intended for art and enjoyment, and not for sexual arousal.
