Q&A: The Rabbis Law of Deri and Goldknopf
The Rabbis Law of Deri and Goldknopf
Question
It was reported today that following Gantz’s departure, the government is trying again to pass the Rabbis Law of the corrupt patronage jobs of Deri, etc.
Is it proper to demonstrate against such a corrupt government even though soldiers are falling here every week and we are in the middle of fighting?
Where exactly is the line? They can run wild as much as they want and the public is supposed to keep quiet because there’s a war and we’re all “united” (yeah, right)… and polite?
Answer
There is absolutely no impediment to demonstrating during a war. On the contrary, we must not give these scoundrels immunity because of the war for all their vile and ugly tricks.
Unfortunately, based on our acquaintance with the people involved, may their names be erased, I very much doubt that the war is being managed objectively.
Discussion on Answer
Since then, Bibi has become an even bigger villain.
Bibi didn’t become a bigger villain; anyone with eyes in his head knew Bibi was like this. If that’s the reason, I’m worried about the Rabbi’s political analytical ability.
Tomorrow they will vote on the extortion law in the Constitution Committee; as time passes it becomes clear that the Jewish people will lose to the State of Israel’s government.
And obviously these accursed wicked people should be cursed and reviled.
The only reason I can find not to condemn these wicked people is that we haven’t condemned them enough, like—as they say by contrast about the precious pearl of whom “whatever you praise in him, you are actually disparaging him.”
I don’t think there have ever arisen for the people of Israel leaders more wicked, more thuggish, and more corrupt. “May their names be erased” is an understatement.
I don’t understand why you wrote “may their names be erased”; that’s really excessive. When someone wrote about Bibi “may his name be erased,” you strongly objected.
