From a halakhic perspective, according to most opinions there is a commandment to live in the Land, or it is an instrument for fulfilling the commandments that depend on the Land. But there can also be a Torah-based value that is not halakhic. As far as I’m concerned, this is not connected to the Torah or to anything like that. I want to live among my people in my homeland. A secular Zionist like Ben-Gurion. That’s all. And yes, in my opinion, it is worth the price.
