Question

I’ll allow myself, with all my brazenness, to post here a question that appeared on the “Atheist Line” and attach my answer to it.
If the local rabbinic authority deletes this, then I deserve it.
The clever atheist there asked how it could be that in the holy Torah there is no reference at all to the reliable scientific knowledge found in modern electromagnetic theory, and whether it is possible that Faraday and Maxwell were wiser than the prophets.

My answer:
A question for the author of the post: to the best of my knowledge, the sacred scriptures do not mention any of the effective ways to treat head lice. Since my daughter’s kindergarten is infested with lice, and since I’m also interested in the sacred scriptures, it’s really important for me to find out whether the Torah was truly given to us at Sinai or whether it’s just total nonsense. If possible, an urgent answer, because I think I’ve got a call from her kindergarten teacher (meaning my daughter’s kindergarten teacher, not the Torah’s kindergarten teacher).
Do you, Michi, have an opinion about the connection between Faraday and Maxwell and the dangers lurking for my daughter at kindergarten? Will the Torah save me?
