Q&A: The Third Path
The Third Path
Question
Lately you’ve been getting a broad platform on podcasts. Why aren’t you taking the opportunity to “market” The Third Path? It’s a pretty standard deal: you give of your time and your thoughts, and in return they give you a chance to talk about what matters to you. There were podcasts where you were really dealing with the topic itself without mentioning The Third Path, like on ‘Insights from Life.’ The only place where you did was on Demokrat TV, and it gives the impression that they do a poor job promoting their content, since it doesn’t show up near the top of the search results.
Another thing: why did you call it דווקא “The Third Path” and not “The Middle Path”? The current name gives off a connotation of reform, as if it’s something entirely new, and in my opinion that frames the whole thing somewhat negatively—and framing is really important in this case. Even on the level of content it isn’t so accurate, since you yourself explain that many people are already there and just aren’t aware of it. Most of them are somewhere in the middle to begin with, so it isn’t really a new path.
Answer
When it seems relevant to me, I bring it up. I don’t force it. It’s possible there were other places where I could have mentioned it, and I’ll think about that again.
