Noumena and God
Question
I apologize if I missed the column on this topic, but does the Rabbi accept the Kantian idea regarding the noumenon, according to the interpretation that says we human beings have no ability to grasp it? And if so, how can we apply our understanding to God? Isn’t He in the realm of the noumenon? Why and how do we know that logic applies to Him? (As I understand it, the Rabbi holds that logic applies in those areas as well.) And if logic applies to God, what does not apply to Him as one who is in the domain of the noumenon? Or am I mistaken in my assumption, and God is not in that domain?
Thank you very much
