Hello and blessings. I hear a lot from you and discuss a great deal with friends about the concepts of conservatism and openness. I see that many times we are not defining the same thing when we talk about what conservatism is and what openness is, and the whole discussion turns into a dialogue of the deaf.
I would be glad if you could give me a one-sentence definition of conservatism and openness, and then I could also understand the essential difference between them.

It depends on the context. Your approach is not correct. If you’re having an argument, then you know what you’re talking about. Try to define what it is you’re discussing, and then argue about it. Why should you care how someone else defines conservatism?
