A Political Question — What Is the Partnership of the Third Path

Question

Hello, I listened to your podcast with Moshe Radman, and I wanted to ask you about the partners we choose to work with.
During the conversation, you presented very well the arguments of extreme religiosity on both sides, you addressed it consistently, and you pointed out the problem in Moshe’s approach.
Even so, from my perspective as a listener, it seemed as though nothing was getting through to the other side.
This is not the first podcast of his that I’ve heard, and it seems this is a recurring pattern.
So my question is: what do people expect to achieve through such a partnership?
After all, on the one hand, it seems that Moshe is demanding that pragmatic religious people distance themselves from the extremists, even though on many issues I personally agree with them.
And on the other hand, it seems this is a one-sided demand, because Moshe sees as partners some very extreme people (such as Arabs, Yair Golan, etc.)

From conversations I’ve had with friends on the left, this is a recurring phenomenon: a blatant inability of the camel to see its own hump.
In my opinion, my disagreement with the Haredim is far greater than my disagreement with secular people, but at least when I speak with them, they understand the criticism directed at them and the problematic aspects I point out in their behavior.

How do you think one can deal with such a reality? Do you know people on the left who are not like this? Is it possible to distinguish between these different types?

I apologize if I presented something you said incorrectly; that was my understanding based on what I heard

Answer

I didn’t understand the question. The Third Path deals with processes within the religious public, and it is not connected to the left and right, nor to secular people. I am not looking for secular partners, not Radman and not anyone else, although it is clear that there are many shades within every public.
