Does the Rabbi perhaps have any idea why they are not establishing a state commission of inquiry to investigate the October 7 massacre?
What led to it, and so on…
And I’m asking basic, simple questions that any citizen would ask, such as: did someone receive money from Qatar, which at the same time was also funding Hamas, and in return was he lulled into complacency and perhaps lulled the security forces into complacency as well?
Is there any good reason not to investigate and examine what happened? Both in order to prosecute those who acted deliberately, if there were any such people, and to remove those who erred—and above all to prevent a repeat of this now on other borders, or in the same place at another time?

The responsa section is intended for questions, not for declarations, even ones I agree with.
The claim is that the person authorized to establish a state commission of inquiry—namely, the President of the Supreme Court—not only will not clarify the real failures that led to what happened on Simchat Torah 5784, but will whitewash the facts under an even thicker layer of plaster. In my humble opinion, only a commission of inquiry whose members are jurists and military professionals from abroad, who have no known agenda in favor of one of our political sides, will be able truly to investigate what happened here, and only its conclusions will be accepted by most of the people.
