A basic question about Torah study
peace,
Let's assume that there are a total of 25,000 sayings in the entire Torah.
The Reformers "cursed" all the statements and came to certain conclusions. For example, because of the verse "and live in them," one must do this and that.
The Haredim "cursed" all the statements and reached certain conclusions that even reject the basics of Judaism (like going to work).
Certain rabbis in religious Zionism have condemned all the statements and reached certain conclusions that seem crazy (for example, now in the Zvi Tau affair there are "Torah" statements that make it clear that a person who made such statements has not even begun the journey to becoming a human being).
So how am I, the little one (and humble one 🙂 ) supposed to even start studying Torah?
Who guarantees that I won't make mistakes?
And how am I supposed to trust my mind? After all, the first thing in self-awareness is to understand that our minds are filled with all sorts of biases, childhood traumas, things even from the more distant past of previous generations, and so on. And here is the fact that millions over the years have been in the various Haredi concepts and other streams, as well as other religions in which there are many billions, why should my mind be cleaner than the minds of all of them?
thanks
