A stone with powers
Hello Rabbi,
I received a small stone as a gift that has the "power" to help a person with their emotions and to be loved more. I don't believe in the power of the stone, but am I allowed to wear it around my neck for beauty or is that idolatry?

There's nothing wrong with wearing it for decoration. It's just that people make the mistake of thinking it helps with something, so what? Is alternative medicine a taboo? No, that's just nonsense.
