Birth in error

Have a good week Rabbi,
I recently came across a case of a wrongful birth lawsuit in the press where the plaintiff was awarded millions in compensation for not having an abortion on time. I wanted to ask about this, why is only "abortion" considered a solution to a life of suffering, why can't it be argued against her that she can end her life herself in Switzerland, for example through the organization Dignitas or similar?
