Cantio

שו"תCantio

Hello Rabbi,
I heard Rabbi Chaim Navon on one of his podcasts where he mentions that Kant has two supremely logical proofs in his book, one that confirms the existence of a higher power and one that refutes it. My question is, does this make sense? Or is there some kind of error in one of the proofs that we must look for?

I don't know what proofs he's talking about. If someone has two arguments that prove a claim and its opposite, it's clear that one of them has a flaw/failure. Either the conclusion is incorrect or the premises are contradictory (one of them is incorrect according to his method). I highly doubt that Kant or anyone else has a logical argument that proves there is no higher power. At most, he can refute proof or proofs that there is.
