David's sin, God's Judaism, and what is between them

שו"תDavid's sin, God's Judaism, and what is between them
שאל לפני 9 שנים

Hello Rabbi, what does the Rabbi say about the logical proof that it has been proven that the hands are one big lie. After all, if God chose King David, who committed such a heinous sin, to be king, and after David sinned, God did not replace him, this is a sign that your God is not that good because He loves such people (think about how nowadays if a prime minister/mayor commits a small act of corruption, everyone attacks him, like the one where Bibi received gifts worth hundreds of thousands of shekels, and David's act is a thousand times worse than that). From this we understand that Judaism does not have the true God => Judaism is wrong. PS: Note that what David did was not a minor sin. If he had sinned in something minor, then that was fine, because according to Judaism, there is no righteous person who does not sin. But for something like that, he should have been stripped of his kingship, and the God of Judaism did not have the ability to do that…

Well, I was wondering if it's even worth addressing this crooked "logic," but since it's already been written, I'll address it briefly. First, this does not prove that Judaism is a lie, but at most that its God is immoral. And even that you will not be able to prove logically from here. This is just a short lesson in logic (free). In essence, my God rebuked King David for his actions (through the prophet Nathan), and he did not hide the actions in the Bible that he wrote (through his prophets), but rather described them for all to see. My God accepted David's response to his evil actions, and even exalted him as a repentant man, and therefore agreed to leave him as king over Israel. On the other hand, the God you recommend is a lofty moral pinnacle, about the level of our public discourse today. Something like a journalist at Yedioth who writes about Bibi's corruption. You know what? I'm definitely giving up the services of your God and prefer mine. But don't worry, he won't quit for lack of work. He can always join Yedioth, or perhaps remain your God…
