Free choice and the God of the gaps
Hello Rabbi, I've listened to several of your podcasts on the subject of free choice. As I understand it, your argument in favor of free choice is that science currently does not provide an answer to the dilemma (it may in the future), and therefore the argument is still in the philosophical arena, and therefore you side with your basic intuition.
Isn't this a God of Gaps type of argument? After all, you're basing an argument on a current gap in science that has a chance of being closed in the future.

And the claim that there is no free choice is not the God of the Gaps? They too make claims without a scientific basis.
I'm not proving that there is a choice because of a scientific gap. I'm arguing that there is a choice because intuition says so. And the claims that science opposes it are baseless.
