Is there a problem with sexual freedom?
Hello, is there a problem with sexual freedom? And what do you think is the problem? Can it be said that a person who is not bound by Halacha who practices such freedom is acting in a bad way? Or is the problem only because the Halacha said so? I would also be happy if you could also touch on what, in your opinion, is the view that underlies the Halacha requirements that regulate sexuality, and whether the claim that Halacha enhances sexuality is correct. I would also be happy if you could also touch on, in general, what is the impact, in your opinion, of sexual freedom on society, and whether a distinction should be made between different degrees of sexual freedom, such as sexual freedom within the framework of a marital commitment but not in marriage, sexual freedom for pleasure only and without emotional/marital commitment, polyamory, etc., and do you think the claim that the basis of the sexual revolution is based on Freud and the psychologists who developed his sexual thought is correct? Is the suppression of sexual desire or its policing by any norms harmful to the human soul, or is it precisely through them that one can direct sexual desire into good and positive channels and avoid descending into animalistic/violent realms that may occur? In addition, I would appreciate some practical advice from you for healthy and rational functioning in the sexual sphere in the world around us, thank you.
