Hello Rabbi!
Does the rabbi see value in reading literature (Tolstoy, Amos Oz, A.B. Yehoshua, etc.) and if so, what is it, and how would the rabbi recommend its extraction from the reading? (A reading practice that the rabbi recommends?)
PS Is there a writer that the Rabbi particularly likes or recommends?

Yes. I think it puts a focus on different human (and not only human) situations, thus providing insights and sharpening sensitivities in the soul. I have no algorithm for extracting insights other than reading attentively for nuances.
There are many. People tend to disparage Jodi Pico as if it's some kind of maid's novel. In my opinion, that's completely wrong. The girl is a genius in understanding the human psyche and in theory. I highly recommend her books. There are also the classics, Dostoevsky, Steinbeck, Elsa Morante, Elsa Ferrante, Borges and many more. But there is no universal prescription here. Each to his own taste.
