Playing a musical instrument during the counting of the Omer
Hello Rabbi, is it permissible to play a musical instrument during the Omer? It makes me feel happy and calms me down…

The prohibition of playing music was not mentioned in the Gemara or Rishonim. The source is the Maga, which talks about dancing and dances. It is not entirely clear what is included in this, and it was customary not to play or listen to music. Although on CDs and radio, some poskim wrote that it is permitted. And if it is on a musical instrument, it is appropriate to prohibit it. If it is needed for the sake of rest and relaxation and not for joy, it seems to me that it is permitted.
