Proof of the existence of God

I haven't read the extensive material you've written on this subject yet. I just have a specific question. What do you say about an argument like this:
God, by definition, is a perfect being (even an atheist defines him this way), and if that is the case, it is clear that he exists, otherwise he would not be perfect.
