Question about Judaism

How are you, Rabbi?
A question occurred to me, maybe you can help me. What is the source for trusting the words of the sages and rabbis throughout the generations as we trust the Torah itself. I can understand why the Torah and the Oath even came from direct revelation, but what about the rest of the Torah world, the commentators on the Secret Doctrine, and so on? What interpretation can be accepted and what not? Is there perhaps a sufficient source from the Torah or is it a matter of what makes sense? When should one still accept the opinions of the sages if it is only about logic?
