Regarding the podcast with Shmol Rosner.
So first of all, I enjoyed every moment. Just a pleasure. It was bright and clear and shocking as always. I think the calm and thoughtful interviewer is also to blame for that.
 
I wanted to say a few words about the end of your conversation.
I am an original Lithuanian Haredi. I studied in an excellent yeshiva. And now I study in a kollel of halacha.
Shmuel Rosner said that people are not convinced by arguments. I don't know what he's talking about. It's true that there are some, unfortunately, who won't let the facts get in the way of their seeing.
But I, for example, changed my mind a lot, on very important issues, because of your books and articles and lectures.
Below are examples:

1. There is no authority on facts.
2. I think that God rarely intervenes in what happens in the world. The laws of nature are his faithful messengers.
3. I do not accept the powers of prophecy and the Holy Spirit of all the wise men of the ages. They are human beings. (Except for the prophets.)
4. The Talmud is not a hollow tube whose entire content comes from Sinai. Much was renewed and required along the way.
5. The Talmud has formal, not substantive, authority. (This is truly a precious gem.)
6. It is permissible to disagree with the sages and rishonim in their interpretation of the Gemara.
7. Kabbalah and Zohar have no formal authority.
8. I am a God-fearing Jew even if I have no idea whether there will be a resurrection or whether the Messiah will come. Maimonides does not decide on this matter.
9. There is no religious problem in not voting for Torah Judaism.
10. The will of Rabbi Yehuda the Pious does not even bind Rabbi Yehuda the Pious.
11. Morality is an external system that obligates us only because there is a God. It is a different system from the religious system.
12. The Torah does not include all the wisdom in the world.
13. There is no point in original verses about the Bible, since everyone does whatever they want there.
14. An honest and sincere secularist is a person whom the sages did not know. And we judge him not by stoning, but by respect and appreciation.
15. It makes sense that an innocent Christian Pole would not be condemned to a boiling fire for being God-fearing and worshipping Jesus.

 
After all this, do you think it's honorable to call you Mikhi?! But the truth is, for me, the title "Rabbi" is a title for a person who is older than me in years and wisdom.)
There are many other issues, and I keep thinking and criticizing myself because I only care about the truth. I have no idea what the truth wants from me, but it drives me crazy…
 
There are issues where I regret being born Haredi. For example, I didn't serve in the army and donate.
And on the other hand, in the Haredi community, I received knowledge and familiarity with the Torah that I would not have received anywhere else. Especially in studying Gemara. And also a commitment to Halacha.
 
 
Shmuel Rosner further wondered: Aren't you doing more harm than good? Or maybe you're turning people away from religion.
To this I say: No one who values ​​truth understands the question at all.
But that's also not true:
After all, I know for myself that if I hadn't been convinced by the rabbi, I wouldn't have continued to be religious as I was raised and I would have abandoned my faith. Inwardly, certainly.

But I know that the rabbi does not see all the results of his influence. And the truth is that the influence is enormous. And slowly there are representatives in many elite yeshivahs.
And I only ask that the Rabbi continue to teach us and make us wiser.
