Religious belief in God from a real place

Hello Rabbi!
I have noticed for a long time that when religious and ultra-Orthodox adults are talked to about God, a childish emotion emerges from them, like a child facing his parent (usually a father). Sometimes rationality is thrown out. Where is the educational failure from childhood here, and what can be done with adults to connect them to the ground on this issue?
