The author also cites the sources in his book. Although turning the issue into a detailed and definitive halakhah seems excessive to me, and it is not without reason that it was not done before the Knesset. I would base most of these laws on common sense and not on evidence from legendary issues of one kind or another. In my opinion, a review of a restaurant is not slander, firstly because it is for the benefit of the member. Secondly, it is not about a specific person but about an institution (usually you don't know the restaurant manager). And especially if you don't like the taste of the food there, that is not a flaw in the personality of any of the employees or managers there. Each to their own taste.
