I read a little about what you wrote that the correct reason for keeping a mitzvot is "like this" like the words of the Rambam, "Do the truth because it is truth."
I really have a hard time understanding why this reason should make me do a commandment, as if I don't care if this is the truth, I want to have fun!
Ultimately, I come to the conclusion that it stems from the desire to be a good person and it's a kind of "not for its own sake", meaning I want to follow the path of truth, because I want to be a good person and follow the path of truth, I don't think anyone is really interested in following the path of truth "like this"
