The gift between meat and milk
Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to ask about the custom of waiting between meat and milk, as this is the custom accepted in my family.
Some in my family decided to change the custom to six hours because one hour is not a good custom, as the Rambam says, "He who has the 'smell of Torah' in him should observe six hours."
What is the meaning of the expression, according to the Rabbi, "the scent of Torah"? Is there a reason to change from one hour to six hours? Is keeping one hour a lower custom?
