The value of the mitzvot according to Maimonides?
Maimonides, in eight chapters, says that one must study mathematics, logic, etc. in order to strengthen one's intellectual power and thus understand "things that are unchanging" – God (his purpose is to attain God).
1) Doesn't it follow from this that there is no value in all observance of the mitzvot because in the end only intellectual power leads to this recognition and what is the value in all observance of the mitzvot?
