What are the reasons for the cultural phenomenon called Haredi in Big Brother?
I don't know if you've heard (and if you haven't, that's fine), but this year, for the first time, Big Brother has an ultra-Orthodox candidate, a young man from a Hasidic family from Bnei Brak named Yanki Goldhaber, and this cultural phenomenon made me wonder how it is possible that a guy from the high-walled ultra-Orthodox society would be so exposed to secular culture that he would want to go on Big Brother? I think this is one of the blatant examples of the gap between the external image of ultra-Orthodox society and what's really going on inside. What do you think?
