What is the rabbi's opinion on women serving in the IDF in general, and in combat roles in particular?

I don't think it can be prohibited halakhically, but I also don't see a preference for it (in terms of contribution) over national service. Depends on the position. In addition, society and conversion relationships can be problematic, but again it's hard to say there is a halakhic prohibition. The prohibition from the law of a man's tool (which is mentioned in several fairly esoteric sources), etc., seems to me to be irrelevant today.
In parentheses, I say that without any connection to halakha or Torah arguments, it is not advisable for the Jewish people to put women in combat service. The harm far outweighs the benefit for several reasons. Here are three:
1. I was surprised to hear on the radio a while ago from some non-profit organization (a strictly secular person, retired colonel) that the medical injuries suffered by female soldiers during their initial training and beyond are enormous and severe (one of the secrets that must not be revealed due to the fear of political correctness). There are shocking percentages of dropouts and long-term injuries of various kinds (according to him, it is over 50%!!! And this is even when the training is easier), and it is not allowed to reveal this to the public (he himself requested data from the IDF under the Freedom of Information Act and they did not agree to give it to him. In the end, he somehow obtained it).
2. Despite the denials, there are concessions in their training process and in the quality of the soldiers.
3. If someone falls into captivity, it will be a disaster. Divisions will be activated with disproportionate prices to free her. This will lead to distorted operational considerations.
