A simple question. There is formal authority between the Law of the Great One. So why is the individual (a scholar) who ordered the erroneous teaching of the Beid required to bring a sacrifice for his mistake, as explained in the first mishna of the teachings, since he is obligated to teach them even though he knows they are wrong?

The Gemara there deals with the error in the mitzvah to listen to the words of the sages. This is a complicated issue, when one is obligated to obey them and when not. The commentators have divided on this in several ways, but it is clear that there are situations in which one is not obligated to listen to them.
