Continued vigilance on Shabbat

Continuing with my previous question – if my friend comes to my place for a weekend while she is on duty in the army and there is a very small chance that she will be flown to Jerusalem, to her base – are we allowed to pay a taxi to take her there if it is not possible in any other way?
