Light blue thread

שו"תLight blue thread
שאל לפני 6 שנים

I started to shed blue hair in my breasts at a good time. I have three questions:

  1. In the event that the person who made the tzitzit did not say before that, "For the sake of the mitzvah of tzitzit," is the tzitzit considered to have been tied to the mitzvah and is it kosher? After all, there is no reason for a religious person to make tzitzit other than for the sake of the mitzvah in question? Or is there a matter of "for the sake of" that must be a statement?
  2. I tied according to the Gra's tying, and I made a mistake in tying some of the links, and I only made two 'stripes' and not three (as a link is supposed to be made of). If I untie the tzitzit, I fear that the tzitzit will be significantly damaged. What is the ruling on tying? Rabbinic? Custom? Does the above mistake hinder?
  3. Does the rabbi prefer one type of binding in the telic from an educational perspective?

  1. There is no obligation to say, except to know some poskim. Even the thought is probably not necessary in such a case, since the context proves that you are linking the mitzvah to the name (as a kind of stima to the name). See M.B.C. 14:62.
  2. Except for the first section, everything else is not hindering. See here: https://www.etzion.org.il/he/%D7%A7%D7%A9%D7%A8-%D7%94%D7%A6%D7%99%D7%A6%D7%99%D7%AA
  3. not.
