The Third Identity and the Problem of Rabbis
Greetings, I very much identify with what you wrote on the subject of the third identity, but if this were a Torah path that logically would have been voiced by rabbis, but unfortunately all those "great men of the generation" from all sectors were not close to this in their thinking. I do not know a single rabbi who would agree to separate religion and state. I do not mean to say that only if rabbis think so is it legitimate, but perhaps the third identity really has no place within the Torah world? How does a rabbi establish a commitment to moral values and democracy in the Torah world?
